Sleepless in............ jubail ;)

Abah and Ummi will be so worried when he's not well..

Huarggghhhh!! I'm so sleepy. Not anymore though. But, I will (again) in a few hours. Shahmey couldn't sleep well last night. He woke up at about 2.00am to breastfeed. About 10 minutes later, he woke up again. I breastfed him again. Again and again.


At about 2.30am, he woke up but refused the milk. He cried, 'merengek' sort of. He turned to the right and to the left. I cuddled him but he still cried. He threw away the small pillows that I put at his side (to refrain him from slipping down the bed - there's 3 inch gap between the bed and the wall) and put his legs down the bed. Well, he stucked there and cried. I pulled him out and put him back closer to me. He did that again, until 3 to 4 times I guess. I started to get angry (a bit). I sit down, took him and put him on my lap. I massaged his tummy, just in case he's got wind inside. Nope! He didn't like it. I massaged his feet. He didn't like it either.


I almost gave up. At 3.00am, I woke Abang up. I knew I wasn't supposed to since Abang needs to work in the morning. He needs a good sleep. But, I can't stand seeing Shahmey cried without knowing the reason. I needed a 2nd opinion. I told Abang, Shahmey refused to sleep and kept crying. Abang woke up and tried to cuddle Shahmey. He brought him out of the room and sat on the couch. I saw Shahmey's runny nose. I thought so. His nose was blocked. I wiped his nose while Abang cuddling him on his shoulder.


I went to make his milk (Shahmey has started formula milk in between breastmilk during the day), just in case breastmilk is insufficient. Abang went to look for v1cks to apply on Shahmey. True enough, after applying the vicks, Shamey smiled. He drank the formula milk. Then he played with the v1cks bottle. He asked Abang to take out the bottle cap so that he could play putting on and off the cap. Ikut aje la... otherwise he cried. Someone has to watch him playing that coz when the cap is off, there's possibility for him to take out the ointment. Hazardous for him as he may put it in his mouth. So, I was the one who has to open my eyes wide and make sure he didn't put the ointment in his mouth.


I took Shahmey to the room. Oh dear! He refused to sleep but I was really sleepy. He played with the thing until..... the bottle fell down the bed. Then he laid down! Phew!!! Finally... I got to sleep.


Abang?? By the time I brought Shahmey in, Abang had already fell asleep on the couch till morning came. Now, at 8.00am Shahmey is still sleeping. Abang is already at work, of course :)
