Jadual baru dan bayar hutang

Lama betul delay pasal jadual baru ni. Banyak sangat benda nak tulis tapi masa tak ada sangat. Jadi tu lah jadinya. Kena postpone selalu. Hutang pun tak bayar lagi. Bukan hutang duit tapi hutang tag heheee.. Memula cerita pasal jadual baru lah.


Selepas hampir 2 bulan menanti, akhirnya permohonan Sophea diluluskan oleh Kementerian Pelajaran di Saudi (di Riyadh). Disebabkan sekolah itu ialah sekolah American/British, pelajar-pelajar muslim wajib memohon Muslim Approval daripada kementerian. Tak tahulah kenapa.


Kalau nak diikutkan macam tak logik sebab suka hati kita lah nak hantar anak sekolah mana kan. International School lain tak perlukan Muslim Approval pun. Kenapa lambat kelulusan tu? Sebab bulan puasa dan bulan raya... Permohonan Sobhan dah lulus before puasa lagi. Sophea punya ada silap nama sikit (sekolah lama yang silap tulis). Bila kami submit semula, ia mengambil masa yang sangat lama... Well, itulah kehidupan di Saudi. Terima aje lah hakikat tu.


Pendek cerita, since kedua-dua anak dara tu dah mula bersekolah since 26 Oktober baru ni, jadual Neeza juga bertukar. Bertambah pula dengan statu baru Neeza sebagai pelajar! Hehehee.. tak lah.. bukannya sambung Master (tak kuasa nak belajar cam tu.. letih laaa.. hehee). Neeza cuma ambik kelas arab, tajweed dan fiqh - 5 hari seminggu iaitu hari-hari anak-anak sekolah.


Pagi-pagi, lepas subuh, Neeza perlu bergegas kedapur untuk prepare lunch box anak-anak. Sekolah tu takde canteen. Students wajib bawak lunch box atau mereka akan kelaparan. Bagus jugak in a way sebab kita tahu apa anak kita makan kan.


Jam 7 pagi, anak-anak ke sekolah. Neeza pula kena bersiap untuk sekolah Neeza. Lebih kurang 7.40 pagi, bas sekolah Neeza pula sampai. Kelas tu dari 8.30 - 10.30 pagi. Tapi, travelling time lebih kurang 1/2 pergi dan 1/2 jam balik (since bas kena ambik students lain lagi).


Shahmey pun Neeza bawak. Dia duduk di nursery di sekolah tu. Nak bagi dia mix dengan orang sikit. Orang-orang yang seumur dengan dia laaa.. Bagus jugak sebab caretaker kat situ berbangsa saudi. Memang they speak English tapi ada jugak rasanya dia speak arabic. Good for Shahmey! Kalau duduk rumah jawabnya, pandang dinding ajelah dia hehehe...


Neeza sampai rumah semula lebih kurang jam 11 pagi. Dah letih. Biasanya tidur.. hehee.. Kalau tak pun, masak dulu sebab nanti anak-anak balik at 3pm nak makan.


Lepas anak-anak makan, kena tengok homework diorang pulak. Di sekolah baru ni banyak reading material yang mana the parent kena duduk sama-sama untuk tengok diorang baca. Then kena sign the school diary. Jadi, Neeza perlu spend at least 2 jam dengan diorang ni.


Bila jadual berubah, masa blogging pun berubah. Dah tak se free dulu lagi. Entry pun terpaksa pendek-pendek aje. Blog hop pun kejap aje. Tu je lah nak cerita pasal jadual berubah tu... Walaupun gitu, bagus juga sebab ada jugak lah pengisian kan. Walaupun Neeza mungkin tak lah 100% akan terer cakap arab, at least boleh belajar sikit-sikit.

Day 18

I was so blank of what to cook yesterday until I wrote about it on yesterday's entry. After reading Kak Tie's blog, I've got an idea hehe.. That was my 2nd time copy cat Kak Tie's menu ;). I defroze beef bone and chicken as soon as I saw the tasty look of Kak Tie's Sup Tulang ala thai and Ayam padprik pictures.


In the evening, I went to kitchen and cooked! The Sup Tulang didn't turn out that well. The soup was okay but the tulang.. really taste like 'lembu'!! Hanyir sangat! I already washed them with flour. I don't know why the lembu taste was so strong. I ended up eating that gross taste and smell Sup Tulang by myself. Sophea (Kakak) commented,

"Kenapa rasa lain haa??"

Even that little girl could taste the yucky sup tulang. Kesian sup tu.. The chicken padprik was okay. They love it but commented (who else like to comment if its not the kakak!) that the gravy (kuah) was not enough. I told them that if I made so much gravy, then the good taste would disappear hehee.. Lagipun, kalau pedas sangat, they wouldn't like it (They = the 2 girls).


As for the sayur, I cooked labu masak lemak putih. I don't really want to consider labu (pumpkin) as sayur (vegetables) since it sometimes eaten sweet and become dessert. But, when we made labu masak lemak, of course it's not dessert anymore hehehh..


Enough about that. Today, I won't cook for the Iftar. We'll see what happen today in tomorrow's entry. Insyaallah...

Raihah and Anisz stories ;)

Raihah, a teacher to be, studying in UPSI has tagged me. A pretty simple one buat kinda personal. I may not answer them honestly hahaha!!! Just joking my dear Raihah :).


The Rules:

1. when did you start fasting?
   When I was in standard 1 - half day though. Is that considered fasting? hehehe...
   
   
2. when did you start understanding the true meaning of fasting?
   I don't quite remember this one since I'm a very much older now. Got some memory depletion ;). If I'm not mistaken, it happened when I was in secondary school.
   
   
3. Do you like fasting?
   I used to think fasting is tiring but not anymore. It really helps my body to relax. Of course, there're so much more that I like about fasting :).
   
   
4. how about 'sahur'?
   So far, I haven't missed my sahur. Alhamdulillah. Our menu - the same menu as our Iftar ;).
   
   
5. break fast?
   I have to cook myself huhuuuu. There's no bazaar ramadhan. There's no maid to cook for me. There's no mom's cooking too :(.
   
   But, there was one day that I took my day off (from cooking). We bought kabsa!
   
   
6. how often do you perform solat terawih??
   Hmmm... we just started our fasting month, right. Only 8 days. It went okay so far. Alhamdulillah.
   
   
7. tadarus al-Quran??
   I used to do that when I was in boarding schools. Not anymore :( - with the chores and etc. I did my best to recite the Al-Quran at least once a day.
   
   
8. do your daily activity differs between ramadhan n other months??
   Pretty much. I don't have to make coffee for the breadwinner for the whole month :). My kids were not asking for what to eat in the afternoon since one of them is fasting. What else?? I have to wake up as early as 2.30am for the sahur. There are a few other things that I couldn't recall...
   
   
9. what are you hoping for this ramadhan??
   I really hope and wish that all the good deeds that I do during the Ramadhan will persist in other months too. Of course, I wish to meet with the Lailatul Qadar. Insyaallah...

Last but not least, our menu for yesterday's Iftar. Frankly speaking, I really forgot to take a picture of the food yesterday. I was pretty 'kalut' preparing for the Iftar. Since we're having the same menu for the sahur, I snapped the photo before our sahur hehee.. This time, I got no model since all of them were sleeping while the picture was taken. Well, we had Ikan Tanda+Gelama Masak Sambal, Chicken Soup, Singgang Ikan Tenggiri, Bayam Masak Lemak and Keria as dessert I don't know when is that someone gonna be bored eating keria :P. We had one more delicious kuih tapi dah habis immediately jugak :). Thanks a lot to the responsible sedap kuih maker ;). By the way, we had Bandung yesterday. No picture of it coz' it has finished immediately :).

Okay, sekarang jom terjah apa yang kami makan semalam.

Oopss!! model dah bertambah lagi sorang lah! Walaupun tak puasa, che' mek baju merah tu dibenarkan makan bersama kami (tengoklah tu, orang belum berbuka, dia dah belasah mango). Sebabnya... dia mengadu sakit kepala. Apa tak sakit kepala, suka sangat mengadap computer main games. Jadi, atas dasar kesian, Ummi pun bagi lah dia join sekali. Kami makan nasi tomato bersama ayam masak merah, gulai daging beserta acar semalam. Nasi tomato ni maknanya masak sendiri lah sebab kat sini tak jual :P. Dessert pula - creme caramel. Ini favorite Sophea. Alamak! As, nanti akak buat lagi ya. Memang akak ingat As suka creme caramel ni. Tapi hari ni takde Sambal Ikan.. jadi As tak terliur kan.. :). Oops!! Do not mistaken by the title, please... I'm not digging the sand to plant a date's tree. Nor that I plan to have any kind of flower pot in my house. I'm just too lazy for that hehehhh..


I've been receiving many awards lately. I didn't even publish those awards at my blogs window (at the right side). The reason being, recently, I changed my blog's template (you would notice if you've been reading my blog since some time ago) and I lost all those pictures. Thankfully, they're still safe in my entries.


So now, I plan to put them all back so that I could see all people who have awarded me. In other words, to oberve those dear friends who have appreciated me so far. By the way, I don't mean those who didn't give me award doesn't appreciate me ya. Jangan salah tafsir pula :).


My job will be a bit tough though. I have to dig all of my previous entries, one by one.. Banyak kerja gak tu tapi takpe.. I'll do it. Insyaallah.. Cuma I can't promise when it'll be all done ;)

Do you notice something? Last 3 days, I completed tags by Aliya and Akuni. Today, I'm doing tags by Nadia and Noniey. The earlier were Double 'A' and the later were Double 'N'. What a coincidence. Tag 1 - reading Aliya's blog a few days back. Shocked that I was tagged. hehee.. It's pretty easy. Benda-benda first time. Selalunya kita ingat (kalau ianya menggembirakan lah selalunya...)

1. 1st time naik kapal terbang - Tak ingat the exact date tapi tahun 93 kot. Ada educational excursion ke Egypt. Naik Royal Brunei. Memang jakun giler. Pindah seat sampai 3 @ 4 kali rasanya sebab orang tak ramai. hehee.. sabar aje la.
   
   
2. 1st time beranak - 18 July 2000 at 8.00am, keluarkan Sophea Binti Shahril (ikut tingkap la tapinya - C Section)
   
   
3. 1st time pergi overseas - Masa sekolah rendah tapi tak ingat tahun. Pergi Golok. Oversealah tu kan heheheee...
   
   
4. 1st time duduk jauh drp family - kalau jauh dari family yang melahirkan, start dari 3 bulan lah rasanya sebab umur 3 bulan, arwah nenek ambil Neeza dan besarkan di Kelantan. Aci tak gitu?
   
   
5. 1st time kerja - ehemmm... memang tak pernah kerja masa sekolah. First time ialah masa belajar di US. Buat part time kerja jadi waitstaff (ala ala waitress lah). Best sangat sebab dapat bergaul dengan kawan-kawan dari seluruh dunia. Yang paling best masa dapat gaji setiap 2 minggu. Sebenarnya allowance yang Neeza dapat cukup tapi sebab semangat bershopping dan travel ni tinggi melangit, kenalah cari duit tambah :P
   
   
6. 1st time rasa diri gemuk - Masa sekolah menengah especially di Kuantan, memang badan naik bagai di pam-pam rasanya. Maklumlah, selera makan banyak. Makan pulak 6 meals per day. Lepas tu petang-petang bantai ice-cream aje.. Bila tengok dalam gambar, nampak sangat muka chubby huhuuuu...
   
   
7. 1st time bercinta - bercinta tu apa yek? entahlah....
   
   
8. 1st time rasa diri cantik - tak perasanlah pulak sebab tak pernah rasa cantik pun. Tapi, Alhamdulillah... bersyukur dengan pemberian Allah..
   
   
9. 1st time masuk cinema - masa Darjah 3. Ayah bawak kami sekeluarga tengok cerita 'Mekanik'. Susan Lancaster dan Azmil Mustafa berlakon.
   
   
10. 1st time admitted in hospital - Form 2. Jumpa doctor sebab sakit perut. Dia suspect appendix. Kena duduk dalam 2 hari kot. Padahal takde apa pun. Kat bed sebelah was my ustazah masa Darjah 6. Kesian dia sebab alahan teruk akibat pregnant.

8 perkara yang cikgu jawe nak tahu ;)

Sebelum balik Cuti Cuti M@laysia baru ni, Neeza di tag oleh seorang jejaka kacak (hmmm.. tak pernah tengok pun dia sebenarnya) bernama cikgu jawe . Dah prepare entry tu tapi terperuk dalam post list sebab belum complete.


Soalan dari cikgu jawe macam ni: senaraikan 8 perkara yang ingin anda beritahu kepada semua bloggers (kepada yang membaca je lah kot kan..)


Ini senarainya...

1. Neeza adalah anak sulung daripada 5 orang adik beradik. Tapi kalau tengok badan, paling kecil antara 5 tu - tak cukup zat kot hehehee!!!
   
   


2. Paling manja dan ada banyak sedikit keras kepala. Kalau nakkan sesuatu, Neeza akan pastikan dapat juga dengan cara apa sekalipun (cara yang halal lah ye...). Mungkin sebab faktor anak sulung (??).
   
   


3. Masa kecil dulu, sangat suka memanjat - panjat pokok buah lah sebab nak ambil buah tu. Pokok2 yang tak berbuah tak suka... (buang karan je...)
   
   


4. Mula-mula belajar memandu dengan Ayah Neeza. Dia ajar guna kereta dia dan bawak keliling padang bola (mesti dia takut anak dia rosakkan kereta dia kalau ajar atas jalan raya). Mula memandu di atas jalan raya pula selepas 2 tahun dapat lesen sebab tak nak pakai P kat kereta... (sanggup tu). Lagipun lepas dapat lesen tu, Neeza terus kerja di Subang Jaya dan pergi balik kerja naik bas. Takde kereta sendiri masa tu. Takkan nak bawak bas kot... hahaha!!!
   
   


5. Bercita-cita nak jadi doktor tapi disebabkan Ayah suruh ambil tawaran belajar Rancangan Bersama, terpaksa ambik course lain. Tapi elok gak tak jadi doctor sebab Neeza ni, tengok darah pun rasa macam nak pengsan...
   
   


6. Fobia bila kena pergi kubur (bukan takut kubur - errrr... takut la jugak hehee..) sebab masa kecik, pernah kena gigit dengan pacat kat kawasan perkuburan. Setiap kali pergi kubur, mesti mata akan pandang bawah. Takut ada pacat.
   
   


7. Neeza seorang yang simple dan bukan brand maniac. Baju-baju Neeza semuanya yang biasa-biasa saja. Ada baju kurung Neeza berharga RM14 sepasang (belum jahit). Syaratnya, mestilah selesa. Ada yang mahal tapi tak selesa tak guna juga kan.
   
   


8. Makan semua benda kecuali ikan sungai / air tawar. Minta maaflah.. bukan nak kata apa, tapi memang tak boleh masuk dalam tekak ni...
   
   

Okay.. itu sahaja serba sedikit mengenai Neeza. Nak tag sape pulak ya? Tak payah takpe tak? Rasanya ramai yang dah buat tag ni kan.. :))

oops!! It's not about me. I was verbally tagged (boleh ke cam tu? heheheee..) by a lovely Misz A, to 'reveal' any situation that I had to handle during my tenure as a College Counselor in my previous workplace.


Before I proceed, let me make one declaration here. By right, a Counselor shall keep a secret (any case that he/she had to handle) from anybody unless it could endanger the client (a person who went for counseling session) or others who involved in the particular situation. In other words, a Counselor shouldn't blabber about the case.


This particular story that I'm gonna write is not a serious case. It was not even a proper counseling session. It was just like an advising session between a sister and her younger brother. I'm sharing the story with a hope that my young silent readers would take this as a point to ponder.


Richard (not a real name) came to see me in my office on one particular day, after being graduated from the college. I was quite close to Richard as he's holding a position that has to do with my jobscope. He came to see me quite often while he was a student. He was a very friendly and jolly guy indeed. That day, he was not like he used to be. He looked upset. I asked him whether he wanted to share anything with me. He was quiet at first. Then he started to talk, bit by bit.


It was about his girlfriend name Cindy (a fake name) who was a few years younger than him. The girl was my student too. I knew Cindy quite well - the good and the bad. Richard told me, Cindy didn't 'want' him anymore.

"Dia dah ada orang lain, puan..."

I was laughing inside when he uttered that to me. Its not that I was happy he's being dumped. No!! I pity for him actually. I was laughing because I had told him once that the girl didn't deserve him. Of course I didn't tell Richard about all the bad things I knew about Cindy. I would never tell him. But, I did tell him to think several times before starting a love affair with Cindy.


For me, Richard was much better in terms of personality, behavior and looks! Well, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Who cares huh! Since I was quite close to Richard, I told Richard,

"Saya rasa, dia tak sepadan dengan awak. Awak deserve yang lebih baik.."

He just smiled then, denying my statement. But, that day, he was gloomy. He told me how Cindy had distanced herself after Richard graduated from the college. According to Richard's friends, Cindy became close with a guy who was younger than her (another guy in the same college - her junior!). They saw Cindy always went out with this guy.


I remember seeing Richard and Cindy a few months before Richard left the college. They were very closed as 'a couple'. Cindy was always there when Richard needed him. She even took care of Richard when he was hospitalized. When I went to visit Richard in the hospital, I saw her sitting besides his bed. She was blushing when she noticed me walking towards the room (malu malu la tu.. ;))


Whenever Richard came to see me, Cindy's name was always on his lips. He asked for Cindy's certificate. He asked about Cindy's performance. Of course I didn't disclose things to him. He had to ask the girlfriend himself. Hello.... I'm a Counselor, not Cindy's mother. Though we're closed, that doesn't mean I could tell him everything.


I told Richard to be patient (I didn't tell him padan muka though.. tak nak dengar cakap orang sangat. I should? hehee..). He deserved a much better girl. He has got the looks and personality. He's not convinced then because he was still frustrated. I guess by now, he's got a new girlfriend already yippee!! heheheee... (only my guess laaa)


About a year and a half after that, Cindy's new boyfriend came to see me. He was asking for Cindy's excellent performance certificate (Cindy has left the college - graduated). I told myself,

"you'll be another Richard one day..."

and smiling while passing the certificate to him (by the way, Cindy asked me to give the cert to that guy).



Moral of the story:

always give a 100% doubt instead of 100% trust to a new boyfriend/girlfriend!

You should be thankful that I don't make your life miserable like before (when I used to be jobless long time ago and always bok bek bok bek to you everytime you came back home).
   
   I find peace make friends here until I don't even realize the time flies so fast (tahu tahu aje dah almost noon and I haven't cook for lunch yet huhuuuu!!!). I used to work and the job that I involved with required me to communicate with people (I love that kinda job). When I decided to quit my job and came to S@udi, I was a bit skeptical. Would I be okay being jobless? Can I cope with the kids, 3 kids altogether without any helper? Will I get bored?
   
   I was scared, so scared. But now, I'm still doing well. 6 months have gone and I'm still doing fine. About 7 years ago, after 2 months quitting from my first job, I was so depressed. I disturbed my husband (called him) sometimes more than 5 times a day! Can you imagine that? I was bored. Though there was internet connection, I didn't surf much. Now, not anymore! I have friends (interactive one) despite staying home. I simply love it :)

   Though I'm jobless (sedihya laa.. bunyi macam kena buang kerja aje :P), I always get in touch with my friends in previous workplace and other friends. Everyday, without fail and if the S@udi Telecommunication internet connection is okay, I went through my emails. This is how I updated my friends about my well being and get updates about them. If it was about 20 years ago, we wrote letters, now, we're writing letters too. The different is, previously we had to write using a pen or pencil and now we just need to type.    I know some of you don't read this online news. I'm not forcing anyone to read this. For me, reading is a pleasure when I'm bored. Reading online news is different, though. I read news not for pleasure but to acquire correct and precise information. If I read any kind of article, I want to make sure, I am given all accurate facts and figures. There should be no biased whatsoever. So, its good to compare. By reading No 3 and No 4, I can compare which one is more sensible / logical and which one is not (Note to myself: not eveything in No 3 is wrong okay and vice versa :P)

   Looks familiar? Heheee.. for a loanee like me, yes! During my time, everyone received so called 'pinjaman boleh ubah' (what do they call in English?) loan, meaning it could be changed to a scholarship or a reduced amount of payment. Sad to say, nobody gets to convert their loan to scholarship, though they managed to score 4.0/4.0 (this one that I'm writing about is JP@ and not M@RA).
   
   The most discount given was 75% - meaning we have to pay 25%. I had to pay only 25% of the loan for managing to get #.##/4.0. I'm not gonna mention it here heheheeee.. The amount is still high though considering my 3 years in M@laysia and 2 years in Un1ted St@tes. But, Alhamdulillah... Otherwise, I won't be able to travel overseas at all. To cut it short, I have to pay back. Every month, I have to check if my loan amount is updated (just to make sure somebody in somewhere did their job hehehee..)

Wow!!! Pretty long huh! Oh well, having written these, I have to comply another step more. I'm required to tag other people. Is it really? Read the rules again. No 3: 'Must tell 5 person'. It doesn't say I have to tag 5 people hehehe.. to my understanding at least. birthday month!

It's about my birthday month. Yes, it's March now but nope, I was not born in March :)). I was born in November. I'm a November baby. Alahai, macam comel aje bunyi bila sebut baby - padahal tak comel dah pun.. hehehe..


Actually, a mommy of a cutie Alya, name Fadzila tagged me about this birthday month thingy. There are rules for this which I think I'm supposed to spell it out first:

Before continue looking at my birthday month (as if.. duh!! hehehe...), you may want to enjoy looking at the description of other birthday months (yours perhaps!) but please bare in mind that these are not FACTS. I believe the people who did this have done some kind of survey and perhaps a psychological test towards a group of people (samples). Thus, these are the findings. Of course, the people involved could be 100, 1000 or the most is may be 10,000! We have billions in the world. So, don't expect them to take billions of sample!


Also, I believe, my character is such due to many things and not mainly because I was born in November. If you may notice later, not all traits really describe myself, though I was born in November (according to my self descriptive at least!). Generally, it may apply but not specifically. Human are made in a very vivid way. For me, it's wrong to judge - all November babies will be like this - such and such. Another thing, I don't wish to tag others because the one that I got was copied from Fadzila. She also copied them from the previous one. The previous one also copied from the earlier. I don't know who's got the original. I believe, after being copied for so many times, many traits have been discarded. Remember, the No:3 Rules - strike out everything that doesn't apply to you... I think many traits have been striked out. Thus, validity is questionable hehehee... So, how can I tag people when I myself don't know where the original is? I've been tagged by Elisa for 3 pictures that remind me of happiness. When I'm happy, it's easy to think of the 3 things that made me happy. But, when my head is spinning like now, I had to think... 1... 2... 3...

How could I forgot.. I just got back from Madinah. Yes, I was sick as soon as I arrived home. But, surely there were things in Madinah really made me a happy woman.

1st, the watches! For my 3's stooges. They were given by the guy in a souvenir outlet at the Taiba Centre. Abang passed the little Shahmey to me. While holding Shahmey, I looked at other stuff sold there. Then the guy said, "how much?" pointed his finger to Shahmey. Then I said "Oooo its priceless!". Then he 'kuchi kuchi' my boy and passed a watch to him. At first, I thought he was kidding. I said "If you give him, the sisters will be jealous". He gave another 1. And I said again "He has 2 sisters!" He passed me another one. I asked him a few times whether he was serious in giving the watches. He nodded and smiled. I know they're cheap but hey, where can you get free stuff these days?

2nd, the socks/slippers? I don't know the name but they do look like moccasin but to be worn at home. They're very comfy especially during winter like this. I noticed Sooad (Ahmed's daughter) wore this when I went to their house in Madinah. I bought them in Madinah but it was actually made in Ch1n@ :) They're cheap! Only 10 Riyal for 4 pairs. I never seen this relaxing socks before but once I've tried them, they are certainly adorable!

3rd, finally... this little boy (Shahmey) has got his first tooth on 11 Jan 2008. This would mean no more bubur nasi, no more cerelac and no more mashed potato. He can start to eat harden food, not too soon though... So, travelling would be easier in the future heheheee.. (what a lazy mommy!!)
